Dave Horning
Elder
Two words describe the essence of my spiritual journey “something more”. My early faith formation took place in the evangelical tradition. As a teen I found myself captivated by Jesus and a desire to live into a love relationship with him. In the Jesus movement of the late 60s the cost of discipleship became my focus. The charismatic renewal movement opened me up to exploring the work of the Holy Spirit. Serving in intercity Detroit made me aware of social concerns. Time as an episcopal priest gave me an appreciation for church history and tradition. In each stage of my faith formation believing there was something more propelled me into new Kingdom adventures. For over 40 years I’ve shared these kingdom adventures with my wife Jane. I have three amazing sons and many grandchildren. I look forward to learning what it means to play in the kingdom with all of you!
